The Autumn and Winter Display Preparation morning is one of the most hands‑on community activities in Moseley. On Sunday 13 September, from 10am to 12pm, volunteers will gather on Moseley Village Green to prepare the displays that carry the village through the colder months. It’s a simple, friendly way to make a visible difference to the place we live.

These sessions are simple, friendly and surprisingly satisfying. You turn up, grab a trowel, chat with neighbours, and help create something that thousands of people will enjoy every day as they pass through Moseley

🌱 What We’re Planning on Planting This Season

This year’s planting mix is chosen for strength, structure and seasonal interest. Together, we’ll be adding:

• Euonymus for structure and year‑round interest
• Elaeagnus for resilience in exposed spots
• Choisya with its glossy leaves and spring scent
• Hebe for compact form and late blooms
• Salvia to keep pollinators visiting
• Pittosporum for soft texture and height
• Small‑leaf English Ivy to knit everything together

We’ll finish the borders with annuals and bulbs, adding immediate colour now and fresh life again in spring.

You don’t need gardening knowledge — just a willingness to muck in. We provide tools, guidance and plenty of encouragement.

Once the planting’s done, we’ll have refreshments and a chance to catch up. It’s a relaxed way to meet neighbours and celebrate what we’ve achieved together.
