Moseley Volunteers Bring New Colour to the Village 🌼🌿
What a fantastic day for every Moseley volunteer who joined us in the village 🌿✨
Our team rolled up their sleeves to refresh two much‑loved spots: the Hornbeams bases, the loo bed and Moseley Village Green. A morning of weeding, tidying, planting — and plenty of community spirit.
These small but meaningful actions help keep Moseley looking beautiful for everyone who lives, works, studies, or simply enjoys spending time here. Today was a perfect reminder of what happens when neighbours come together to care for the place we all call home 💛
🌱 What We Achieved Today
Our volunteers transformed the tree bases on the village green and the loo bed with a gorgeous mix of colour, texture, and pollinator‑friendly planting:
- 5 × Erysimum ‘Red Jep’ — vibrant perennial wallflowers bringing long‑lasting colour
- 4 × Hardy Fuchsia ‘Tom Thumb’ — compact, bee‑friendly bursts of pink and purple
- 3 × Osteospermum ‘Senoritas Tanja’ — bright, sun‑loving blooms for added cheer
- 24 × Pansies — classic seasonal colour to lift the whole space
- 3 × Oregano — aromatic, pollinator‑friendly herbs
- 3 × Thyme — low‑growing, fragrant groundcover loved by bees
Alongside the planting, we also:
- Cleared and refreshed the Hornbeams bases
- Created a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and local businesses
- Strengthened community connections through shared action and teamwork
Every plant added today helps us protect and enhance the green spaces that make Moseley so special.
