Schools Gardening Scheme
In 2018 Moseley in Bloom launched a new programme to develop partnerships with local schools to create, transform and sustain gardening projects on their school sites. Since then, we have funded a variety of great initiatives engaging pupils, staff and parents.
Now into the sixth year of the scheme, we are looking to fund further projects for the 2023-24 academic year that will inspire and support pupils to develop gardening skills and encourage them to understand their role in the quality and sustainability of their environment.
MOSELEY in BLOOM is encouraging you to imagine a project, and we want to help you bring it to life. We are inviting all primary and secondary schools within the Moseley ward boundary or who have a B13 postcode to submit an application for up to £500 so that your thriving green space idea becomes a reality. Schools that have previously received a grant from MiB can apply again.
How we can help
We encourage you to register your school with the Royal Horticultural Society schools campaign. Information can be found at: https://schoolgardening.rhs.org.uk
How about visiting local public gardens and nature sites, to help pupils understand the value of green spaces for the community and environment, and to fire their imaginations!
New for 2024
The schools projects are in the process of being revamped and relaunched – if you have any questions please e-mail schools@moseleyinbloom.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you!
