Moseley in Bloom is a registered charity and depends entirely on the support of local people and businesses to be able to enhance the environment of Moseley and enter the Britain in Bloom Campaign. Voluntary donations are required to purchase and maintain every hanging basket and planter in the public areas of Moseley village.  Every year, the Moseley in Bloom team of volunteers has to raise £15,000 to carry out this work. The ‘Friends of Moseley in Bloom’  scheme has been launched this year to help meet this target.

What else does Moseley in Bloom do?

A look around the pages of this website will tell you what the local volunteers who make up Moseley in Bloom do throughout the year. It is so much more than just putting up hanging baskets in the summer. Even in the depth of winter, members of the team are working on litter-picking projects, trying to keep the public areas of Moseley clean and litter-free. Plans are made for planting schemes in community areas, help is provided for business displays, talks are prepared for local schools and the Open Garden weekend in June is organised. Our aim is quite simply to make Moseley a cleaner, greener, more attractive place to live, throughout the year.

Why become a Friend?

Because, frankly, we can’t do all this without you. We receive no public funding and rely solely on volunteers and/or charitable donations for everything that we do. You may see Council workers putting up baskets, but Moseley in Bloom pays for all the displays and their maintenance. If you care about Moseley and its environment and if you appreciate what we do, then please become a Friend. Unless we raise £15,000 each year, we cannot keep going.

What does it cost?

To become a Friend costs only £20 per household per year. All the members of your family become  Friends. In addition to making an invaluable contribution to the way Moseley looks, as a Friend you will also receive a number of benefits, including special discounts from time to time, as announced in these pages
