🌸 Growing the Next Generation of Gardeners: Free Seeds for B13 Schools
Moseley in Bloom is passionate about helping young people connect with nature, learn new skills, and take pride in their local environment. As part of our year‑round community gardening work across Moseley, Birmingham, we’re excited to offer free seed packs and seed potatoes to every school in the B13 area. It’s a simple, joyful way to help pupils experience the magic of growing something from scratch — and to strengthen our connections with local schools who share our commitment to a greener, more vibrant neighbourhood.
Supporting Schools Across Moseley
Whether it’s a small raised bed, a classroom windowsill, or a full school garden, we want every child in B13 to have the chance to get their hands in the soil. Each participating school can receive:
- 10 free packs of seasonal seeds
- A bundle of seed potatoes perfect for hands‑on learning
- Friendly support from our volunteers, who can offer guidance or help with planting days
This initiative is part of our wider mission as an environmental charity in Birmingham: empowering young people, boosting biodiversity, and nurturing community pride through accessible, inclusive gardening projects.

Why This Matters
School gardening isn’t just about plants — it’s about curiosity, confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing. By giving children the tools to grow, we’re helping them:
- Understand where food comes from
- Explore local biodiversity
- Build practical skills
- Feel connected to their neighbourhood
- Experience the joy of nurturing something living
And for us, it’s a wonderful way to build new relationships with teachers, pupils, and families across Moseley.
Let’s Grow Something Wonderful Together
