The Moseley in Bloom awards first started in 2006 and takes place in the Autumn of each year to give public recognition to some of the people and businesses that are a credit to the community. The original concept was to encourage everybody to take part in improving the local environment and to make the urban village of Moseley as attractive as possible.

Marks are awarded on the horticultural display and tidiness of premises in Moseley by independant judges. The judging usually takes place in August and coincides with the dates when Moseley in Bloom are judged.
There are now a total of 12 categories recognising the achievements of businesses, institutions and residents of the horticultural and environmental efforts which benefit the community.
